This explains what CopeDeals collects, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information.

What we collect

• Account details: name, username, email, and a securely hashed password, or your Google account's name, email and picture if you sign in with Google.
• What you post and do: deals, comments, votes, reports, follows, and your Copium Points history.
• Clicks on “Get deal”: which deal, when, your browser type and the referring page. We don't store IP addresses: we keep a one-way hash that changes daily, only to avoid counting the same click twice.
• Search terms: what was searched, without who searched it, to show “Most searched”.
• Technical data: error reports (without IP addresses or cookies) to fix bugs, and standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in from forgery. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stores you visit through our links may set their own cookies (see our affiliate disclosure).

Who processes data for us

Hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), search (Meilisearch), caching and rate limiting (Upstash), email (Resend), error monitoring (Sentry), and sign-in with Google. They process data only to provide these services. Affiliate networks receive a click id, not your personal details.

What's public

Your username, profile, deals, comments, Copium Points and badges are public. Your email address and votes on other people's posts are not.

Your choices

• Turn notification emails on or off in settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Edit or delete your deals and comments at any time.
• To get a copy of your data or delete your account, contact us at our contact form.
